one of my goals for 2009 was to do a couple of collaborations with artists i admire over the course of this year.
my cousin is getting married this fall, and i had the honor of drawing a small design for their wedding invites. they wanted a design that was reflective of fall colors, community and the ocean. i like him and his fiance so much, and felt like i had a good sense of the feel they wanted, so it was fun to draw their art for them. and i had a genuinely great experience collaborating with sarah parrott from parrott design studio on these - i turned the drawing over to her and she worked her magic with colors, typeface and her mad awesome gocco skills. i feel like singing her praises all over town!
i love the orange and gray color combination a lot.
