we just got back from my brother's wedding down in south carolina, and we were able to stop in dc on the way for a few days, too. the kids were excellent travelers and i found myself feeling grateful for the very existence of audiobooks, because they totally got us through the long drive. :)
now that the wedding is past, i am excited to share a few things with you that i had a small hand in helping with for their celebration. a save the date card collaboration with sarah parrott - i drew the live oak tree for it - and the wedding stationary itself. i drew some magnolias that were used in various ways on all of the pieces. you can read more about that on sarah's blog here for the save the date and here for the invites. sarah is truly wonderful to work with! the colors and the setting of the wedding were really special and perfect, and i just couldn't be happier for my brother and his sweet new wife!
and here are a few pictures from our trip to dc: the visit to library of congress was a favorite of mine. lovely and inspiring!
