here's a list of some of my current favorite online shopping links for a handmade holiday.
the world's best scarves from martha mcquade. i wear these almost everyday and get a lot of compliments on them, and i had a lot of fun picking colors for my family and friends this year.
love creature ornaments from look what i can do. it was so hard to decide which one to choose, though!
handspun yarn by lulubeans. i am no knitter, but i love everything about aprill's yarn and it makes a great gift for those knitty types. or you could just keep it around to gaze at appreciatively and occasionally fondle. she also makes awesome learn to spin kits, which make great gifts for young or old.
customized birch candle holder by urban forest. i recently discovered this etsy shop from maine and love everything they make. (it's been selling quickly!)
shanna murray's lovely decals. they're all so nice that i find it hard to pick. that's a good problem to have.
bobbin studio wool felt table runners. i own a few of these and have given them as gifts, too. they're beautiful and functional. win win. she also has a lovely show of larger wall hangings and mobiles at eli phant in portland right now, which are all fantastic. (and eli phant is chock full of handmade awesomeness.)
anything from soapwalla. i like this stuff a lot, and it comes nicely packaged and shipped quickly.
it is folly to assume my awesome lies dormant book by mincing mockingbird artist matt adrian. matt also shows at nahcotta, and in addition to being an amazing painter, the titles of his work are my favorites.
okay, that was fun. :)
