some highlights from my trip to NYC this week:
:: chelsea market. i'd never been there before! what a gorgeous place. i'd have loved to visit a bunch of times and try more of the vendors. we loved bar suzette creperie and one lucky duck for breakfast. i had some kind of crazy delicious juice concoction at one lucky duck that made me feel good all day. and we spent a good bit of time poking around in posman books. i wish we'd had more time to fully explore everything!
:: the high line. again, my first visit. holy cow! this was definitely a favorite for me. i loved how everyone just seemed happier while walking along it. i know i was.
::working at surtex and having the pleasure of both meeting and getting a chance to know many of the other artists represented by lilla rogers. i loved having an opportunity to walk around the stationary show and the ICFF. my brain was over full by the time i left on the third day - so much inspiring work. there are some great posts at poppytalk and design sponge that showcase a lot of the highlights of these shows.
:: my first visit to uniqlo
:: stumptown coffee at cafe peddlar in brooklyn
it was a super busy few days and i didn't have nearly as much time (or energy) as i would have liked - i think i did about a quarter of the stuff i wanted to. i'm already thinking about what i'll do on the next trip.
