just a quick note to say that this will be one of my last blog posts here at swallowfield. this blog has been quietly chugging along since early 2007, starting as a place for occasional crafty projects and stuff i was doing with the kids. as you all know, the internet has changed a lot since then, and so have i. these days i find myself more interested in using this space in a quieter way, with photographs and occasional news about what i'm doing professionally.
this weekend i'm headed off for two weeks at haystack mountain school of crafts. this is the working vacation/retreat of a lifetime for me, and i can't wait to get there. as someone who finds herself identifying first as a mom at all times, the chance to be in charge of only myself, working whenever i want 24 hours a day, with three yummy meals a day that i don't have to cook, a cozy bed, inspiring artists and craftspeople from all over, and beautiful ocean surroundings...well, you get the idea. CAN'T WAIT.

when i get back, i'll be pointing you to a special new place online. i've been working with the fantastic trio at more+co since late winter on a new website and some other fun stuff that we'll roll out together in a few weeks. i am totally looking forward to the new space, and having it be a site that truly and simply reflects what i am up to these days.
my etsy shop will close tomorrow and reopen on 8/10, too. so if there's anything you've been wanting, today is the day to order it. if you have had your eye on something, i'd like to offer you a 20% off discount code on anything in my shop. use the code SUMMERVACATION at check out to get this special deal. it will work until i close the shop tomorrow night, saturday 7/28 at midnight EST.
thank you so much to everyone who visits here. thanks for your support and encouragement in all ways over these past five+ years. i am looking forward to sharing the new space with you soon.
xo, jen
