now that i am home from haystack, i want to say a sincere thank you for your sweet and kind comments and emails about my last post. i loved them more than you know, and appreciated every one. my new site is going to launch very soon and i thought a lot about your comments when i was imagining some parts of the new space. i think there will still be occasional blog updates there, but probably more images (art, photos) and less text, as a rule. i'll post here when it's going live and direct you to the new site.
haystack was an incredible experience. i have so much to say and to share about it, but i am still processing a lot of it right now. i thought i'd share a few photos for now at the end if this post, though. and i also wanted to mention that i will be having an art opening at spruce and gussy in bar harbor tomorrow night, 8/22, from 3-9pm. this is a combined event with my talented friend kari chapin, author of grow your handmade business. (i illustrated the book.) she'll be there to sign books i will be showing a bunch of brand new art that i am really excited about, mostly monotype prints with some collage and papercutting layered on some of them. stop by and say hi if you're local; we'd love to see you.
and some haystack photos for you:
