i wanted to say a big thank you to etsy and rena tom for featuring my print on the etsy blog today - the post feature's rena's california modern home. i am a big fan of rena's style and have been for several years, so i was honored to be included. and man, it never ceases to amaze me what a surprise post can do to get your stuff out there into the world. i always feel super appreciative when extra sales come from unexpected places.
i also always appreciate being featured in etsy treasuries. i thought i'd share a picture of this one from corelladeisgn (thank you!) because it's fun for the holiday weekend, and even though i don't always gravitate toward red/white/blue as a rule, i really liked these colors and forms together:

so far, i've only hung out on this beach at twilight, so i am looking forward to experiencing it in the daytime. maybe we'll even swim. tomorrow, parade and fireworks. maybe some s'mores and sparklers, too.
i'm so excited to tell you i have some new tea soft linen tea towels wth two of my papercut patterns on them! i've been wanting to do these for awhile, and i'm really pleased with how they turned out.

-i recently licensed a bunch more artwork to ipop, and just received some lovely samples of their great magnets in the mail! it's so much fun to see more of my work in this format. i'm saving some for myself, but i've added a few magnet sets to my shop if you're interested. (edited to add: oops! those sold out quickly! sorry i don't have more, but they're available at lots of stores, like spruce and gussy and nahcotta.)
-i was recently asked to contribute to artful blogging magazine, and i just got my copy of the issue in the mail! here's a little peek of my bit. there's lots of good stuff in this issue - it was fun to look through.
-it's starting to feel like spring around here, finally. here are some images from around the island these past few weeks. (and for those of you reading this in a reader, i made a new header for the old blog.)
i love the contrast of the green moss with that paint, and the foggy background. so pretty.
-i made a new spring-inspired papercut. my dream is to start creating some new repeating patterns of some of these botanical designs, and to do some fabric or stationary designs. this papercut is also available as an 11x14" print.
-oh, and when i feel well enough, i've been training with the kids for a little MS bike ride i'm going to be doing in a few weeks with a few of my best pals. just in case you have a burning desire to donate, here's the link. thanks for considering it! i have a feeling it may be a little bit of jamaican bobsled team-ish because i'm a little wobbly lately, but it feels important to me to try to do this ride.

we're starting to pack for our little trip to harry potter world - can you feel the excitement? it's epic. i made a treasury at etsy this morning for the kids' and my own entertainment. there is so much great stuff on etsy that it was hard to pick!

i am looking forward to a few days of warm sun and watching my kids lose their minds with happiness. say what you will about theme parks, but i give huge credit jk rowling for instilling a love of reading and wonder in my kids.
it's school vacation week this week, and i have a house full of kids - friends are visiting from portland and getting to meet some of our new local buddies, too. it's cold but sunny, so i keep sending them outside every little while - this house is not so big, after all, and i can only take so much crescendo. but everyone is happy, and i am loving the chaos.

i really love how these came out. it feels like sending a little sunshine right through the mail. you can get them right here. ((and speaking of sunshine in the mail, see those lovely lemons in the background? i was the dumb-luck winner of a big old box of lemons from sarah and her backyard lemon tree, lucky lucky me! it was ridiculously exciting to get those in the mail here in maine in the middle of winter. i am thinking of trying to make lemon curd with some of them later today. thanks again sarah! ))

i now have an art agent for licensing and illustration jobs! i am very excited to be working with lilla rogers studio. my stuff should be up on their site in the next month or so, but for now, you can email them if you have a project in mind! i've been wanting to do more of this kind of thing, but not wanting to worry about all of the paperwork that comes along with it, so i think this will be a great partnership.

loving my friend jenn's organized collections. she got a fancypants new camera and has been experimenting with it with great results.
i don't usually like to write product testimonials, but i wanted to mention, apropos of nothing, that i recently ordered a mounted print from plywerk, and it is truly beautiful! nice customer service, a lovely, quality product, and humorous emails. win. i will definitely order from them again.
